Berlin

As the largest city in Germany, Berlin has combined as a unit after the long separation of East Berlin and West Berlin by Berlin Wall from 1949 until 1990. Berlin originated from the 13th century and is the crucial capital as well as political, economical, cultural and media centers.

As Frederichk as the king in 1701, Berlin became the capital if the kingdom of Prussia. Friedrichstadt, established in the west to the old town in Berlin in the 18th century, is mostly full of Baroque and Rococo architecture. There are both three plazas and three gates in the western border, Leipziger Platz & Potsdamer Tor, Pariser Platz & Brandenburger Tor, Belle-Alliance Platz & Hallesches Tor. In the 19th century, Neo-classical architecture came into Berlin gradually.

Nowadays, Berlin is a certainly a city of history, culture, classical architecture and relics. There are three major opera theatres, 167 museums, 150 theatres and 8 orchestras. Major performances are held in Berlin, so Berlin has become a city of liberal arts, surrounded with particular charms.
